Wow, these last few months are a blur. We had a great summer! No big trips but a lot of good time together. After a summer loaded with swimming, Helene is a pro now and Anna is as fearless around water as you can be. No doubt she’ll be swimming soon, too.

The girls were so excited to start ballet, but were barely able to get warmed up when after their second class the teacher had to move away. And with no replacement the girls have not gotten to go back.

We made a nice weekend trip to Beeville to see Grandpa, Nancy, Jacob and Charlie, and the pool. The discovery of diving boards opened a whole new world to the girls.

With a little help, we finally managed to paint the bathroom (yes, there’s only one).

And after so many busy days and a full summer, there’s nothing like a nice bubble bath to set you right before going back to school.

For the Fourth we did our usual trip to the Frio River. We also went two weeks before with the Johnsons. We all had a great time, but the girls especially loved to be there and roam around in the river!
